As part of Downtown Carlisle’s monthly First Friday events, Historic Carlisle, Inc. will be leading an historic walking tour, “Through a Child’s Eyes” on Friday, June 7th at 6 p.m. leaving from the Old Court House on the square in Carlisle.  The tour will cover a two block area around the square, where participants will meet middle and high school students who will recreate the experiences of children and teenagers who lived in Carlisle in 1863 and experienced the occupation and shelling of the town by the Confederate troops first-hand.  Although open to all ages, the tour is designed to appeal especially to young people, as it recalls the experience from a child’s point-of-view.  The tour is free and will last about one hour.
